Samick Greg Bennett designs: Malibu

Grover™ tuners

Reviews:

I find this Samick Greg Bennett design called malibu a master peiece, it has the right grip for my hands, it has 22 fret, 3 single coil SD pick ups. it has a slick design specially on the head part. A bold on neck, rose wood finger board, vintage tremolo,  Grover™ tuners and a maple body.

A lot has changed since the early 50’s, including the performance needs of musicians. The MALIBU™ series captures the essence of those early bolt-on neck guitars, in a sleek updated package. The slightly reduced body size makes it lighter and more manageable on those extended club sets.We also made the neck pocket deeper for a superior neck to body contact. The compact, angled back headstock also provides enhanced performance, not to mention the ability to stay in tune.

The angled back headstock produces greater string bearing pressure at the nut. This results in improved attack and sustain.

What's your playing style?

Every guitarist have their own playing style like Slash, Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Paul Guilbert, B.B. King, Jimi Hendrix, Randy Rhoads and so on.. They all have different playing style. So do you have one?

Moog slim phatty

Genuine analog Moog sound and capabilities made affordable!

Thanks to the Moog Slim Phatty, real Moog sound now fits your back pack and your budget. The Slim Phatty's 100% analog signal path, intuitive user interface, rugged construction and rich MIDI, USB, and Control Voltage functionality make it a must-have for producers, touring musicians and DJs.

At just 17" wide, it goes where no other Moog has gone before. Earth-shaking basses, scorching leads and more are now housed in a high-quality instrument ideal for laptop artists and space conscious musical road warriors.

Based on the powerful Little Phatty sound engine, the Slim Phatty is the latest descendant of the iconic Minimoog Model D and features the classic Moog Ladder Filter, the touchstone of analog sound design.

In addition to shaping the sound of its on-board oscillators, the Slim Phatty's filter is a valuable production tool that can be used to process external audio, sweetening your favorite audio source with everything from smooth analog warmth through wet, resonant filter sweeps.

The Slim Phatty's convenient size makes it an ideal voice expander for your existing gear, with two oscillators of massive Moog sound that are always just a MIDI cable away. A new Tuning Scale feature and editor allows easy exploration of alternate scales and tunings. Microtonal, just intonation, quarter-tone, world music scales and more make the Slim Phatty an international traveler. Good thing it has a universal power supply!

In addition to the world of MIDI and USB gear, the Slim Phatty's Control Voltage inputs give it unlimited realms of expression and sound design possibilities. "Modular synth" style patching with Moogerfooger effects processors, the CP-251 Control Voltage Processor and other Moog synths (even The Moog Guitar!) creates soundscapes previously available only on large modular systems. Connecting to the Etherwave Plus Control Voltage Theremin or the MP-201 Multi-Pedal adds unique and intuitive new modes of expression.

Gibson Les Paul Studio Electric Guitar

The Gibson Les Paul Studio electric guitar was made by the electric guitar manufacturer Gibson Guitar Corporation. The Gibson Les Paul Studio was first introduced in the USA around 2005.

The studio version also gives the sound and feel just like of a standard Les Paul electric guitar, both guitars were made of rosewood and maple, however in the studio version the maple top is not a "flame maple top" unlike the standard, some says that the studio version is also called the "barely stripped standard" as the design and most of the element are the same, guess it's suited for the name barely stripped and so was the price, standard Les Paul guitar costs about $4,000 and up while the studio version costs around $799 up to $1200, a very large price different but all i can say is that the sound and the feel is the same.

I personally research it and tried it on a store here in Metro Manila, on which the feel is like the standard Les Paul, so i have doubted if it's a studio version or the real Les Paul i am holding in my hands, as both have two genuine Gibson humbucking pick ups, all i can say is wow to the Gibson Les Paul Guitar Studio version.
